SHECodesAI 2025 - Innovate for Economic Growth and Empowerment
SHECodesAI is a one-day, girls-only AI hackathon happening on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025, at Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. This event is designed to bring together passionate young women eager to explore the power of AI, collaborate with peers, and tackle real-world business challenges using technology.

Girls Play Global (GPG) and Kasadara collaborated to create this hackathon that allows participants to create AI driven prototypes, receive practical experience, and get mentored by industry professionals. It is scheduled with the UN SDG #8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth) goal and seeks to provide economic opportunity, innovation, and young women’s career preparedness within the technology space.
Tackle Real-World Business Challenges with AI
Participants will work on real-world AI challenges, showcasing their skills in HR, Finance, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and AI-driven communication (Text-to-Speech). They also have the freedom to bring their own business process (BYBP) and explore how AI can optimize operations, automate workflows, and improve efficiency.
The competition is more than just an event, it’s an opportunity for one to learn, create, and have an impact. The best solutions in AI will be awarded the “KovAI Agent” title as well as a cash prize and an “AI Master Mentorship” package by Kasadara which will help the winners sharpen their skills in AI and prepare for the next milestones in their career.

Code of Conduct
1. General Conduct
· Participants must treat all fellow hackers, mentors, judges, and organizers with respect and professionalism.
· Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
· Constructive feedback and positive collaboration are encouraged.
2. Ethical AI Development
· Projects should not promote bias, misinformation, harm, or unethical AI applications.
· Proposed AI solutions should comply with industry best practices and regulations regarding data privacy, security, and responsible AI.
· Use only legally obtained and publicly available datasets unless explicit permission is granted for proprietary data usage.
3. Plagiarism & Originality
· All submissions must be original work created during the hackathon.
· Using existing open-source projects, libraries, and APIs is allowed, but proper attribution and significant modifications are required (should this statement be – but proper attribution for any modifictions are required ?).
· Copying or directly submitting someone else’s work will result in disqualification.
4. Fair Play & Teamwork
· Participants must work only within their registered team and not share ideas, code, or solutions with other teams.
· Using AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) is permitted only as an aid, not to generate entire projects.
· No sabotage or interference with other teams’ work.
5. Intellectual Property (IP) Rights
· Teams retain ownership of their ideas, prototypes, and intellectual property.
· The hackathon organizers reserve the right to showcase winning projects for promotional purposes, with due credit to the creators.
· Any third-party code, APIs, or frameworks must be properly licensed and credited.
6. Data Privacy & Security
· Do not use, collect, or share personal or sensitive data without consent, and if participants have obtained consent for data usage, we recommend including or attaching proof of consent during submission.
· Any AI solutions involving user data must adhere to GDPR, CCPA, or other relevant data protection laws.
· Participants must not engage in hacking, penetration testing, or exploiting vulnerabilities within the hackathon infrastructure.
7. Compliance with Hackathon Rules
· All participants must adhere to submission deadlines, judging criteria, and participation requirements.
· Any violation of the rules may result in disqualification at the discretion of the organizers.
· Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
8. Legal disclaimer
Organizers are not responsible for any claims of plagiarism, un authorized use of data sets, third party software, API or any proprietary artefacts requiring licensing or consent or attribution and the participants involved should resolve or settle any such disputes.
